PETCHDET SEALS WBC MUAYTHAI GLORY IN TOKYO

Thailand’s Petchdet Wor Sungprapai is the new World Boxing Council MuayThai minimum-weight champion of the world after he conquered Japan's Ryuya Okuwaki on the BOM promotion in Tokyo, which took place on Saturday the 1st of June.

The classy operator collided with an equally impressive Ryuya, in a pulsating encounter, which thrilled all in attendance. Both fighters pushed each other to the limit throughout the five rounds.

The fight went down to the wire: with Petchdet sealing the ‘WBC global glory’ with a deal-breaking 5th round performance — to close out the contest — and become the new WBC MuayThai 105Lb world champ. The judges scorecards: 49-48, 48-48, 49-48.
