The Rematch: Yodlekpetch Versus Sangmanee
Tuesday, June 26th: The time for waiting is almost over — ladies and gentlemen please calm down — we are only two days away from one of the most anticipated rematches of 2018 as Yodlekpetch and Sangmanee go to calculated ‘Muay War’ this coming Thursday night, June 28th, at Bangkok’s premier MuayThai arena, Rajadamnern stadium.
The original encounter:
Flashback to Thursday the 18th of January and the venue was the hollowed turf at Rajadmanern stadium for the first ever meeting in the ring of Muaythai superstars Sangmanee and Yodpetch.
On that occasion Tded99 gym warrior Yodlekpetch brought his A-game to the table, as he snuffed our every subversive attacking thought Sangmanee tried to unleash — whilst he (Yod) unleashed unrelenting attacks from the opening the bell, to the final moments of the fifth and final round.
For that initial contest Yodlekpetch was afforded a one pound weight advantage against Sangmanee — the reason: Sangmanee was a proven megastar and Yodlekpetch wasn’t quite there yet — Yodlekpetch had his hand raised in glory on that night, and almost immediately Sangmanee and his dad called for a rematch to be set at equal weight!
Almost five months have passed and it’s finally time for these two MuayThai superstars to once again collide at the famed and storied Rajadamnern stadium.
The contest headlines a sensational lineup of Muaythai elite for the Sor Sommai promotion and the weight for both fighters in the showpiece encounter will be 135lbs - no advantage for Yodlekpetch on this occasion.
Sangmanee is a former 3-time champion of Rajadamnern stadium, whilst Yodlekpetch is the current Rajadamnern stadium fighter of the year and current Rajadamnern stadium lightweight (135lbs) champion.
The contest will air live on Thai television via Ch3 — also on the televised segment Seksan Or Kwanmuang will clash with PK Saenchai gym star Gaonar.
Lamnamoonlek from Tded99 gym will rematch Chanasuk from Gor Kampanart gym.
Yodkhunsuk Mor-Rajabhat Chombueng will defend his coveted Rajadamnern super-bantamweight (112lbs) titl against young rising star, Kongthoranee from Sor Sommai gym.
