Muay Riches: The One Million Baht Fight
This Thursday night, the 8th of March at Rajadamnern stadium in Bangkok, two of the sports elite Super-Lightweight (140lbs) fighters will collide once again for the main event on the Petwittiya & Singmawin co-promoted event. The extra spice added to the already scintillating matchup is that there is a one million baht ($32,000) bet between gyms riding on the outcome of the bout. The protagonists: Petchyindee gym superstar Petmorakot will step over the ropes at the famed and storied coliseum of Muaythai to square off against Sor-Jor Lekmuangnon gym fighter, Manasak. The last time these two ‘Knee monsters’ clashed was back in December 2016 — on that occasion Manasak came away with the visitors! Will it be revenge or repeat in the battle of Petchyindee versus the Nonthaburi squad of Sor-Jor Lekmuangnon?
The pre main event: FA Group gym fighter Yothin takes on former multi-time elite stadium champion, Palongpon from Petchyindee gym. The steely veteran, Palangpon, has given himself a new lease of the life over the past twelve months fighting back on the big stages again against a multitude of young rising stadium stars. Yothin for his part has climbed the proverbial Mauy ladder quite considerably over the last twelve-eighteen months, putting in some magnificent never-say-die performances to get himself into a position of eminence amongst the sports elite.
