Muay OneSongchai: The stars are coming out to play

October 12, 2017

The next OneSongchai promotion, which takes place on Thursday the 2nd of November at Rajadamnern Stadium is quite the intriguing one — not least the fact that NongRose has the chance to make history in becoming the first ever trans Rajadamnern champion, in the storied history of the stadium.

The shows main event sees last years shinning star return to the ring after a few turbulent  few months of trouble and strife with Puenkon facing off against his old foe Phichitchai from PK Saenchai gym.

These two super fighters had a couple of fantastic battles in the midst of last year — and on both occasions the Tor Suath gym fighter came out on top. Puenkon is the reigning Rajadamnern fighter of the year and until last Monday he was the stadium’s super flyweight champion.

Will it be third time a charm or can Phichitchai spring a surprise with those thunder hands of his?

The prelude to the main event is set up for a pulsating encounter where NongRose will square off against the fearsome Petsuphan Por Daorungrung.

To add more flames to the fire for this bout Songchai promotions together with the Rajadamnern stadium championship committee have added the stadium’s super flyweight (115lbs) title into the mix.

The title was recently vacated by Puenkon due to him moving up to fight in the stadiums bantamweight division.

Will NongRose make history and become the first ever trans to win an elite stadium title in the Kingdom of Thailand, or will Petsuphan break the Rose with his tenacity and power?

The shows opening bout sees Gingsanglek Tor Laksong look to get back on track after his recent devastating KO loss to Phichitchai. His opponent for this fight is Hanaphon Gor Suwantat.

The young prodigy has had a mixed bag of fortune over the last year or so, and in this writers opinion he need an extended break or he may up like another former prodigy, TheLek who burned himself out before he turned twenty.

The show starts at 6:30pm and the full line-up is below:
