This weekend, Saturday the 30th of September sees the continuation of the TopKing World Series 70kg tournament.
The event returns to China and the final eight combatants are ready to go to battle in order to stake a claim in Novembers semi-finals.
The tournaments favorite, Thailand's Yodwicha faces off against Russian fighter Saifullakh Khambakhadov. Yodwicha is the face of the promotion for TopKing and it would be a brave man to bet against the fighter from Kem's gym.
Polish fighter, Patryk Beszta will square off against Germany’s Pascal Schroth. Patryk is based out of the always admirable Sitsongpeenong Phuket, a gym whose fighters are appearing on all of the big TopKing shows.
Thailand’s Yodpanomrung, a bona fide current superstar of the sport here in Bangkok takes on Swiss fighter Gabriel Mazzetti. It will be intriguing to see how far Yod can go in this tournament as he normally fights at 63.5kgs.
Another Russian son, Ruslan Ataev takes on Uzbeki boxer Bobirjon Tagaev. Both of these boys are known for being heavy hitters so this has the making for an intriguing slug fest.
The show also features some fantastic super bouts with four of Thailand’s most exciting fighters taking on fighters from China, Sweden and South Africa.
Sangmanee AumtongChiangmai will clash with China’s Han Zihao. Zihao fought on the last TopKing show loosing to MuangThai PK Saenchai. Sangmanee is fresh off a monstrous KO victory of Kaimookao from Petchyindee gym.
One of the most popular and busiest fighters of the moment, Rottang from Jitmuangnon gym will collide with South Africa’s Ncedo Gambo. Expect Rottang to end this fight with ruthless precision before the end of the three scheduled rounds.
Former Lumpinee stadium champion, Pongsiri Pet -Por-Tor-Or will clash with Swedish fighter, Samuel Bark. This fight has Muay War written all over it. Bark will have a considerable size advantage with the day before weigh-in and also being the naturally bigger fighter.
Dabramsarakam gym star, Chujaroen will look to continue the good fortune of his gym, his teammate Longnern was this week crowned the new champion of the Channel 7️⃣ Stadium Tiger cement tournament. Chujaroen will take on Chinese fighter Guodong. The theme of these super fights is Thailand taking on the world.
The show will air this Sunday night, live on Thai TV via Mono 29 from 6:20pm (Thai local time).
