Sweden goes to Muaywar with Thailand on this weeks MXMuayXtreme
MXMuayXtreme is only a new baby when it comes to the plethora of live MuayThai TV shows here in Bangkok, but this new baby is making waves and attracting a lot of positive attention amongst the main stream Muay media.
I for one was a bit skeptical about its inception here in the homeland of Muaythai - but it's another tremendous outlet to continue promoting our sport.
Tonight's show is headlined with Thailand's Rasingha wor Widatanon taking on Swedish fighter, Samuel Bark, who trains out of Sangtiennois gym in Pathom Thani province whilst here in the Kingdom and trains with the handsome uncle of Aussie MuayThai, Don Millar in Melbourne at his SupaFight gym.
Bark is a banger who has scored a few lovely wins down in Pattaya on Max and fought on Australia's number MuayThai promotion, Rebellion, a couple of times. This fight is set at 68kgs, but Bark will be giving away a few kilograms as his opponent was over the set weight limit at yesterday's weigh-in.
The co-main event sees young Sitmonchai gym fighter, Neungphichit, face off against German boxer, Fabian Hundt. This fight is set at 69kgs. I expect Muay sparks to fly in this encounter.
There are seven bouts on the card with seven fighters representing Thailand taking on pugilists from Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Russia and Laos.
All fights are full MuayThai rules over 3x3 minute rounds - where the fighters are equipped with 4oz MMA gloves.
The show starts at 9pm (Thai time) and you can catch the action live via the links below:
