Petchyindee presents: A night of MuayWars at Rajadamnern stadium

Thursday the 2nd of February will cement Petchyindee's triumphant return to promoting elite stadium shows here in Bangkok and for this show the total purses for the fighters will goo over the 1.2 million baht mark.

The shows main event is set for a scintillating affair between two of Thailand's biggest MuayThai superstars.

Current pound for pound king, and also the reigning 126lb Lumpinee champion, Panpayak, from Jitmuangon gym will face off against another bona-fide star, in Superlek, from Kiatmoo9 gym.

This will be their third encounter and the score stands at one win to Panpayak and a draw. Both of their previous fights were at Rajadamnern stadium.

Superlek will have a 2 pound advantage for this bout - Panpayak will fight at 128lbs and Superlek at 130lbs.

The prelude to the main event sees the current 130lb Rajadamnern stadium champion, PetUtong, from Sor Sommai gym face off against the man who he replaced as champion, Kaimookao, who fights out of Petchyindee gym.

Kaimookao vacated the title last month and PetUtong beat Superlek to be crowned the new champion.

Thunder legs, aka, Yodlekpet will fight Bangpleenoi from 96 Penang gym in a battle set at 132lbs. Yod is coming off a loss to Seksan where despite him attempting to throw the kitchen sink at Seksan, he got a lesson in Seksan destruction on that occasion.

On his most recent outing in the ring, Bangpleenoi had a hard fought points win over ET PTT Tongthavi

In an unprecedented, yet quite a fantastic move the opening three fights on the card will be televised live in HD on the GMM1 Grammy channel - starting at 6:30pm.

The opening fight of the night and the first to air live is the battle between Disellek Wor Wanchai and Rit from Jitmuangon gym. This has the making of a cracking fight. Rit is former champion of Rajadamnern at 105lbs.

The second fight of the night - and also live on TV is a battle between Rungdet Sakvichian and Yodbuadang Dabpomahachai .

The final of the three fights that will be aired live on TV and which is also the co-main event for the night is quite simply a scintillating match-up and the fight that has local MuayThai talking the most about for this event. MuayThai Social media forums have been on fire this past week on who will prevail in this fight.

Will it be the current man of the moment, Petdam, from Petchyindee gym, who has some big recent scalps or will the seasoned battled veteran, Suakim come out on top. I don't believe that this fight will disappoint us Muay aficionados.
