Giorgio Petrosyan versus Jordan Watson under K-1 kickboxing rules goes down this weekend
Bellator promotions presents these two colliding and fight fans should be extremely excited for this bout
A fight that is intriguing in lots of different ways goes down today, Saturday the 10th of December in Florence, Italy.
England's MuayThai king at 70kg faces off against arguably the best 70kg fighter outside of Thailand, Mr. Giorgio Petrosyan.
The bout will be fought under K-1 kick-boxing rules -with 3x3 minute rounds.
Both fighters successfully weighed-in yesterday (Friday 9th), with Petrosyan hitting the scales at 70.5kgs and Jordan Watson weighing in at 69.7kgs.
The show also features US fighters Kevin Ross and Joe Schilling in action against Italian opposition, but the fight that is on everyone's lips is the super fight between two MuayThai veterans in Watson and Petrosyan.
Jordan is fresh off a dominant display in his recent win over his compatriot Ben Hodge at the Yokkao show in the UK.
Petrosyan's most recent outing was on the same promotion back in April when he got the victory via a dominant points decision over Brazil's Ravy Brunow.
This will be Watson's first fight in a cage.
I have been blessed to see both fighters fight live in the flesh over the years, witnessing Petrosyan fight at Lumpinee stadium and seeing Watson on a number of occasions; when he fought on Kings Cup eight man tournament and again when he fought Aegpracha Meenayothin.
Best of luck to both boys.
