No MuayThai action in Bangkok for October

October 2, 2017

Due to the upcoming  Royal Cremation of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, at Sanam Luang in Bangkok on October 26, all MuayThai events here in the city of Bangkok have been suspended.

The two major stadiums in the city, Lumpinee stadium and Rajadamnern stadium have both duely respected the governments decision to suspend betting licenses for the entirety of the month, out of respect for the upcoming funeral of the countries beloved King.

Channel 7️⃣ stadium and all the other major Bangkok based weekly MuayThai tv shows have  followed suit and suspended their shows until November.

Normal schedules will resume on Wednesday the 1st of November.

It’s estimated that up to, or more than 250,000 people will travel to the nations capital to pay their final respects and farewell for the ceremonies which will span five days from the 25th to the 29th of October.
