The rearranged date has been set for the final of this years Ch7 stadium Poon Suea (Tiger cement) tournament; and it will take place on Sunday the 20th of November at Lumpinee stadium. Yes, you read it correctly, since 2014 the final has been, and will be held at Lumpinee Stadium for the foreseeable future.
The yearly show-piece final goes on the road as the famed Ch7 stadium/TV studio can not accommodate the throngs of fans who travel down from the provinces to watch the spectacle.
TheGlaff, and Saifon from PK Saenchai gym ( both pictured) will meet in this years final in order to decide who is to be crowned the champion, and after six months of fights in their respective groups, and then to overcome opponents in the quarter finals and the semi-finals; both boys surely deserve their spot in the final.
The competition is now in its 16th year, and is undoubtedly the most prestigious and coveted MuayThai tournament here in the kingdom of Thailand. The winner takes home 500,000 Baht in prize money, and also between 120,000-150,000 Baht from sponsors.
The consolation fight for the right to finish 3rd and 4th respectively, will see the beaten semi finalists face off in the prelude to the final on the 20th; with Munggontong Sakburirum taking on Nerpetch from Kela-sport gym.
The main-event for the show is scheduaed to feature the elbow King, aka, MuangThai, facing off against a yet unnamed opponent.
